Fiji was very special for us as we were to visit the Rodenburg family, who we had not seem for many years.

We had met them originally in Madang and Elisabeth is Godmother to Dirk, their eldest son and Eileen is Miriam's Godmother.

It was great to see them again and we hope it will not be so long until the next meeting.

Fiji was also very interesting for us as it has similarities to both PNG and North Queensland.

I suppose this is to be expected, as the latitude is equivalent to about a hundred kilometres south of Cairns in North Queensland and the islands are similar to many in PNG.

PNG is further north and out of the cyclone belt, but Fiji has unfortunately had a few nasty cyclones.

We were spoiled again en route to Fiji, with another Gala Brunch.
